80.3mph
Planned prices for launch, in US dollars. VeloVision is in development and not on the App Store yet, so nothing can be bought today.
One pitch or one swing filmed or imported and measured. Free includes 50 a month and the count starts again each month.
It is the same measurement shown with one more digit. Pro shows the reading to a tenth together with its ±, like 80.3 mph ± 1.0, so you can see small changes from throw to throw. Free rounds it to the nearest whole mph.
Yes. Pro is a subscription through the App Store, monthly or yearly, and you can cancel it there at any time. Your speed history stays on the phone either way.
Spin, movement, release angles and hitting numbers are in the app but have only been run on computer-made test clips so far. They are labeled Experimental until they have been checked against real pitches and swings.
Make a free account and you get an invite code. When a friend signs up with it, confirms their email and films their first pitch or swing, they get 10 bonus captures and you get 20, up to 10 friends a month. Bonus captures are used after your 50 monthly captures and don’t expire. On Pro, every 3 friends earn you a free month of Pro instead. Details in the terms.
With Pro, each clip backs up to your private VeloVision library after it is measured. Turn on Free up space and the phone keeps a thumbnail and every number, and the video plays from the cloud when you tap it. Each clip is encrypted on your phone before it uploads, with a key only you hold, so only you can watch it; not even VeloVision can see your clips. Sign in on a new phone with your email and password and your library comes back.
Yes. Filming, measuring, your history and the stadium all work offline. Backups wait and upload when you are back online. Only a clip that is stored just in the cloud needs a connection to watch; your most recent clips stay on the phone, and you can keep any clip on the phone for a field with no signal.
